I Hated The Lord’s Chosen With Passion… Until God Delivered Me inThe Lord's chosen From Lesbianism, Smoking & Suicide
Sister Elizabeth used to say the The Lord's Chosen was 'boring.' She didn't know that her hatred for the truth was leading her into a trap that almost cost her her soul and her life.
Her story is a powerful reminder that no matter how deep in sin or how much you resist God, His mercy can still reach and transform you. Her parents were devoted members of The Lord’s Chosen, but she hated the church with passion. She found it boring and wanted nothing to do with it.
When she gained admission into the University of Port Harcourt, she faced serious issues with her school documents. Out of shame, she hid everything from her parents and stayed back in school. In her first year, she became friends with two girls — one a heavy smoker and the other into lesbianism.
Burdened by worries, uncertainty, and hopelessness over her credentials, she gave in to temptation and started smoking weed. From there, she was lured into clubbing and the fast “big girl” lifestyle. She kept collecting school fees and rent from her parents while hiding her wild life. She also got deeply involved in lesbianism with her friend.
By 2018, she became fed up with that ungodly lifestyle. She rewrote JAMB, passed, and decided to give her life to Jesus. She met a neighbor who loved worshipping God and asked him to take her to his church. She liked that the women there wore makeup and trousers, unlike The Lord’s Chosen which she still hated. She attended Bible school and was baptized.
But immediately after coming out of the water, her life took a terrifying turn.
She started hearing voices accusing her of being a prostitute and threatening her with death. The voices became louder and more aggressive while she was in school. She lost concentration, and her academics suffered badly. The school authorities noticed her pathetic condition and called her parents.
Her father rushed to Port Harcourt and begged her to join The Lord’s Chosen campus fellowship, but she stubbornly refused. Even in her broken state, she told her father openly that she hated The Lord’s Chosen.
She continued until 300 level. One fateful morning, instead of going for lectures, she decided to end it all. She went to the market, bought a bottle of Sniper, returned to her room, poured it into a cup and drank it.
She collapsed and began groaning in severe pain. By God’s mercy, her neighbor heard the strange sounds, forced her way into the room, and quickly rushed her to the hospital. She was in excruciating pain, crying for mercy.
Her father came again and asked why she didn’t listen to his advice about The Lord’s Chosen. Even then, she still resisted.
The school advised her father to take her back to Lagos until she recovered fully. In 2023, she was brought back home.
Gradually, she started attending The Lord’s Chosen fellowship. As she kept hearing the Word of God, it began sinking deep into her heart. She gained understanding, and the hatred for her past life — lesbianism, smoking, and worldly lifestyle — completely disappeared.
The demonic voices stopped completely. She burned all her trousers, pants, and jewelry, and surrendered fully to Christ.
Today, Sister Elizabeth is completely free, happy, bold, confident, and proud to be a Chosen. The Spirit of God now speaks to her with peace and love. She now passionately counsels young people:
“Never rush into things in life. Embrace The Lord’s Chosen dressing pattern and be proud and happy to be a Chosen.”
Chosen is blessed and shall not be cursed. He that blesses us shall be blessed and he that curses us shall be cursed.
The God of Chosen is so great!!!
What a mighty God we serve!
Only Jesus can turn someone who attempted suicide and lived in deep bondage into a joyful, delivered child of God.
If you’re struggling with addictions, depression, demonic voices, confusion, or any form of bondage, there is hope in Christ.
JESUS is still changing broken lives in The Lord's Chosen
