UN chief alarmed by recent statements from Hamas leadership in Gaza

UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Saturday said that he "is alarmed by recent statements from the Hamas leadership in Gaza about the group's intention to continue building tunnels and firing rockets at Israel." "Such statements and actions put at risk reconstruction, humanitarian and development efforts by the international community and Palestinian and Israeli authorities," the UN chief said in a statement issued here by his spokesman. "They also do a serious disservice to the long-suffering people of Gaza." "After three devastating conflicts in seven years, people in Gaza and the people of southern Israel deserve a chance for peace and development," said the statement. "Every effort must be made to improve the living conditions of the people of Gaza." "The secretary-general reiterates his condemnation of terrorism in all its manifestations," the statement added. Zika virus: Outbreak 'likely to spread across Americas' says WHO

Many seem not to understand the causes of the recent outbreak of sicknesses and diseases. They think and conclude it is just by chance or just normal. They seldom come to the realisation that it is a sign of end time and the soon coming of the great king Jesus Christ. Please read the prophecy about coming diseases below in the bible. It is just a tip of the iceberg out of the numerous prophecies from Jesus and the prophets in the bible. Matthew 24:1-8 KJV "And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. [2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. [3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? [4] And Jesus answered and said unto the

Israel's Shimon Peres hospitalised with chest pains

Image
Former Israeli President Shimon Peres is in hospital after suffering chest pains, 10 days after he had a small heart attack. Mr Peres, 92, underwent minor surgery last week for a constricted artery. A spokeswoman said on Sunday he was readmitted to a Tel Aviv hospital "for observation and testing". He was not due to undergo any invasive procedures, Haaretz reported. Mr Peres twice served as Israel's prime minister and was president from 2007 to 2014. On Sunday, he was found by doctors to have an irregular heartbeat, his spokeswoman said. Mr Peres won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1994 for his role negotiating the Oslo peace accords with the Palestinians a year earlier, a prize he shared with Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was later assassinated, and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. He was defeated in the 1996 election by the head of the opposition Likud, Benjamin Netanyahu. Mr Peres has held almost every major political office since Israel was founded in 1948, and w

Kim Davis Talks End Times, Pope Francis, SOTU and Religious Freedom (Interview)

Image
Controversial Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed last year for not issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, asserted Monday night that the world is "living in the End Times" and warned that Christians will have to "battle" to hold on to their religious liberties. Davis, the Rowan County clerk who caused a media firestorm over of her refusal to issue marriage licenses following last June's Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage, attended the Family Research Council State of the Family Address Monday night and told The Christian Post that intolerance toward traditional Christian beliefs in America will only "get worse." "There is a lot of Bible prophecy that has to be fulfilled. Whether you acknowledge it or not, we are living in End Times," Davis said. "How soon will the Lord return? I don't know but definitely there are signs that we are in the end of times and there is a lot of stuff that has to happen

The Commissioner of Health, Dr. Jide Idris, who confirmed the suspected cases in Lagos in a statement made available to Tribune Online, said that three of the four suspected cases were reported by the Mainland Hospital and General Hospital in Mushin and that further laboratory tests released on Tuesday had ascertained all three suspects negative of Lassa virus, the cause of Lassa fever, while the quarantined suspect is a primary contact of the confirmed case in Rivers State who lives in Lagos. Dr Idris further stated that the primary contact, alongside other secondary contacts, had been placed on close monitoring, but maintaining that none had manifested symptoms of the disease while they are placed under investigation. OFFICIAL: Naira Hits An Alltime Low Against Dollar, Selling At N282

The Naira hit a record low of 282 to the US Dollar on the unofficial market on Monday after the Nigerian Central Bank (NCB) announced that it would stop sales to non-bank foreign exchange operators, especially bureaux de change operators. Governor of the NCB Godwin Emefiele said foreign reserves stood at around $28 billion compared with $37 billion in June 2014, and that the bureaux de change operators were depleting them at a rate of $28.4 million per week. “This is a huge hemorrhage on our scarce foreign exchange reserves, and cannot continue,” Emefiele told a news conference in the capital Abuja. The decision to allow commercial banks to accept cash deposits of foreign currency reverses the restriction imposed last year when such deposits were banned in order to curb currency speculation. It comes days after a visit by the head of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, who told lawmakers that the IMF does not support foreign exchange restrictions. On 8 January, the

Perry Stone Issues Urgent Prophetic Warning

Image
Scientists are now preparing for "extreme volcanic" activity, which could change the face of the earth, according to the latest findings from the European Science Foundation.   For prophet, evangelist and author Perry Stone, the study echoes prophecies laid out in Joel 2.   Stone issued a prophetic alert through Facebook, warning fans and followers of how biblical predictions parallel the scientific discovery.   "If you recall when I was teaching on the Blood Moon cycle, Joel 2 indicated it will be accompanied by 'Signs in the earth beneath; blood fire and vapor of smoke,' which are volcanic eruptions. A scientific report just released said there are more eruptions and shakings under the earth now than in the past 300 years," Stone writes.   The study focuses on "extreme geohazards"—including earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis and more—which are undergoing a 300-year period of extreme volcanic activity, according to Tech Times.   To prevent

Adeboye predicts new sexual disease, unveils 2016 prophesies

Image
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed his prophesies for 2016, predicting that a new sexually transmitted disease will emerge during the year. The cleric also prophesied that things would get worse in the country before they improve, while on the international scene more natural disasters will occur. Below are the prophesies which were published on his websites: Prophesies for Nigeria Things are likely to get tougher, before they get better, but things will definitely get better before the year ends. What He (God) started last year, he will finish this year, provided we don’t rejoice too soon. International prophesies Natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, are likely to get progressively worse, until governments realise that these are part of divine judgment against those who have unholy laws. If governments will repent of disdaining Christ and his church, he will help them win the fight against terrorism. A
