Last Days: Pastor Killed His Fellow Pastor In Osun State, Nigeria

Tragedy has hit Osun State when a pastor who allegedly killed his fellow pastor was arrested.

The commissioner of police, Fimihan Adeoye, told reporters yesterday in Osogbo that Timothy Abiola  allegedly killed pastor Bamiji Ilori 64, Ikire Local Government Area.

The CP, who spoke through his command's spokesperson, Folasade Odoro, explain that the reason for Abiola's action had not been ascertained.

He said a relative of the deceased, Adedeji Ajao, after receiving the report of the incident, alerted the police that Ilori has been shot dead allegedly by his pastor friend, Timothy.

According to him, detectives where immediately deployed. The remains of the late Ilori with a gunshot injury in his head, were recovered.

He added that the suspect allegedly confessed.

The CP said the body had been deposited in a mortuary at the catjlici Hospital, Oluyoro area, in Apomu town, for autopsy.

He noted that one dane gun suspected to have been used in perpetrating the act was recovered and that was ongoing to ascertain the reason for the crime.
