What Happened in the Ibeju-Lekki Kidnapping Two young men, Elijah Emmanuel (23) and Tony Ogenata (21), lured Thompson, a former schoolmate of one of them, to their apartment in the Ibeju-Lekki area. They held him captive and demanded a huge ransom of ₦150 million from his parents. While still negotiating with the family, the suspects allegedly strangled Thompson to death. His body was later dumped in a canal around Awoyaya.
