Reason A Christian That Is Divorced Should Never Remarry Except For This...

I know some of us would be surprised and be thinking how this could be, mostly in this modern and civilized time we are in. 

Humans can change, our ideology can change and everything about us can change but one thing is very much certain and true that God can never change. 

Man is not the creator of marriage but God is. Man had no idea of what marriage is all about until God initiated and involved man and woman in it, that is why today we see marriages between man and woman whether they are Christians or not. 

Genesis 2:18,21-24 KJV

"And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. [21] And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; [22] And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. [23] And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. [24] Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Everyone from all religions is involved in marriage these days. Even atheist (those that don't believe in the existence of God) are also not left out. But little do we know that marriage belongs to God because He is the one that brought marriage into existence as stated above in the Bible. 

Am not going to base my article on this on the belief of other religion but on Christianity and the Bible. The Bible is proven to be the authentic word of God. It contains all the doings, details of God's creation, His ways, His will and purpose for man through His son Jesus Christ, the end of all things and His coming kingdom of His son Jesus. 

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

The Bible says that marriage is undefiled. Which means it should not by anyway be polluted or destroyed but unfortunately today, it is a different thing altogether. Man is full of selfishness, hatred and bitterness. Many has become self centered that they don't fear God and His judgment anymore. Men now do whatever pleases them rather than what pleases in God in marriage. 

Hebrews 13:4 KJV

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge."

Today many marriages are in shambles and divorce and infidelity has become the order of the day in most marriages.

Today in every marriage having problem, it is very easy to divorce. Gone are those days when married couples stick to their partner till death. Many don't care anymore and don't even want to know the gravity of God's judgment  concerning second marriage. 

Couples who get married are tied together till death do them part. This belief is vaporizing these days even some churches are even helping in divorce and second marriage.

According to the Bible, any man or woman that divorces his or her husband shouldn't remarry until death do them part. Which means couples should remain single after divorce except when death takes anyone of them away, then the partner is free to remarry. But if death does not come and the divorced husband or wife remarry another man or woman, such a husband or wife would be called adultery or adulteress by God or the Bible. And you know that it would be devastating. If the person dies in such adultery, he/she would never be forgiven by God and would be cast into hell fire. 

Romans 7:2-3 KJV

"For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. [3] So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man."

1 Corinthians 7:39 KJV

"The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. "

Adultery: voluntary sexual intercourse betweena married man and someone otherthan his wife or between a marriedwoman and someone other than her husband

The description of adultery above is very scary. Sexual intercourse between a married person and someone who they are not married to. And how does the Bible or God sees adultery? It's the same way. It is called immorality. God so much hate immorality and is one of the worst sin as well. It is a sin that destroys families the most and nations. 

Exodus 20:14 KJV

"Thou shalt not commit ADULTERY."

Proverbs 6:32-33 KJV

"But whoso committeth ADULTERY with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul. [33] A wound and dishonour shall he get; and his reproach shall not be wiped away."

We can see that God does not take adultery lightly. It is a grievous sin in God's sight. So the moment you think or plan to remarry when your partner is still alive, just remember God and His Word and also the great consequence of the outcome of it when you go into it. 

The punishment for adultery or second marriage is terrible and unbearable. It is eternal and without mercy. This judgment would come upon anyone involved in it if he/she does not repent now and cut off from second marriage. If you die in second marriage or having a sexual affair with a man or woman that is not your first wife or first husband, it means you are already doomed for everlasting judgment of God. Repent now, make restitution and turn a new leaf. 

1 Corinthians 6:9 KJV

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor ADULTERERS (husband and wife involved in second marriage), nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind..."

2 Peter 2:13-14 KJV

And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; [14] Having eyes full of ADULTERY, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:"

In addition, if you are single and never married before, whether you are a man or woman, if you marry someone who is divorced, you are also doomed because you have gotten yourself involved in immorality as well. This is because Jesus also warned concerning that as well. He says no one should marry a divorced woman. 

Mark 10:11-12 KJV

"And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. [12] And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery."

In conclusion my brethren, friends and the unknowns, don't be deceived by the world. If you die in second marriage, it is hell fire forever and their won't be any remedy. But if you repent and cut off from second marriage now that you are alive, then the Lord God will have mercy on you.
